Being a Chiseler is important to me because of the historical preservation of Plant Hall which this group supports. The amazing group of women who for 66 years have raised money through fundraising events, grants and dedication have helped preserve an iconic building which is a treasure to Tampa.

Plant Hall’s shining silver minarets harken back to Tampa’s storied past, while stepping inside fills me with a special warmth. As Chiselers, we are part of something bigger than all of us, that will be here long after we’re gone.

My favorite part of Plant Hall is the East Veranda. I especially cherish the family photo we took there—it captures a special memory against one of the most beautiful backdrops in all of Tampa.

My favorite room in Plant Hall is not a room at all but rather the view of the famed Minarets from various vantage points in the city. The Minarets are an iconic Tampa landmark and beautiful to behold. It is a privilege to serve as a Chiseler and continue the legacy in advocating on behalf of this historic building. I am proud of the continued commitment of my fellow Chiselers and proud of the efforts made on behalf of Plant Hall.

What I like about being a Chiseler is the pleasure of working along with so many smart, funny, and fun women committed to the mission of preserving Plant Hall. I'm learning so much from everyone. I haven't picked a favorite room yet, I like them all!

My favorite part of H.B. Plant Hall are the stunning minarets. Those minarets and Plant Hall are truly the iconic symbol of Tampa.

The Minarets are such an iconic symbol of the City of Tampa. As a Chiseler, it is an honor and a privilege to raise funds for the preservation and restoration of Plant Hall. I love the Grand Salon and the beautiful lobby, with all its majesty, and I look forward to reopening the former atriums in the near future.

My favorite room in Plant Hall is Fletcher Lounge, and its beautiful ceiling. Taking the long walk from the Grand Lobby down the corridor, you can imagine the excitement of hotel guests on their way to an event, and upon arriving, Fletcher Lounge never disappoints!

My favorite room in Plant Hall is The Chiseler Board Room. More members need to have the opportunity to see this. It has our history and the artifacts in the room embodies who we are and what we have accomplished.

I love Plant Hall inside and out. I especially love the broad exterior view of Plant Hall, minarets included. To me it is the visual representation of our shared Tampa legacy - our dreams, stability, values, and attention to historic preservation.

My favorite room in Plant Hall is the lobby with its grand staircase, fireplaces, and gracious verandas on either side. After 132 years, the lobby still serves… the clientele may have changed from hotel guests to students, but the first impression still delights those entering for the first time, tempting them to further explore this grand building.
